Caraline + Rey’s Glacier National Park Moody Elopement

Glacier National Park Elopement Photographer

Sweet Caraline + Rey wanted to have an Elopement experience in Glacier National Park, but also wanted their immediate family to be involved. Caraline put in loads of effort into her dreamy and cinematic vision, and boy did it pay off. Not only did we make her dream day happen, she is now the COVER GIRL on the Montana Bride 2026 edition!

Caraline + Rey started their day getting ready at an Airbnb in the town of West Glacier, about 20 minutes from their ceremony spot along Lake McDonald in the park. She had a beautiful and emotional first look with her dad, and then we headed to Fish Creek Shoreline for a romantic ceremony accompanied by a violinist. They finished up their ceremony as the rain drops started to fall. We then headed up to the iconic Big Bend for some moody and romantic portraits that had such an intimate feel from the clouds.

Caraline put in a lot of work to make her Pintrest dreams happen, which then gave me the idea to have her sit on the rock with her dress laid beautifully over the rock, and her veil draped over her. I knew she wanted her portraits to feel like a movie, with some editorial vibes. Because her pintrest board wasn't what I typically shoot, I got to be creative and step out of my comfort zone to get these shots, and boy did it pay off!

After about an hour of portraits, we headed back to Whitefish to the Firebrand Hotel to attend their candlelit reception with their immediate family. We ate good food, and after Caraline and Rey had their first dances as well as the father daughter and mother and son dance.

If you are dreaming of an intimate experience in the mountains, but don’t want to miss out on the special moments with your family, I hope Caraline + Rey’s Glacier Elopement can inspire you for your Micro Wedding in the mountains! And don’t forget to give your photographer your Pintrest Board of all your dreams…you never know…you might be the next MONTANA BRIDE.
